Bet on Premier League Football

Do you like to bet on sports? A new Premier League season gets underway on Friday, and WPT® Global’s Sportsbook has you covered for all your sports betting needs.
Manchester United (1.51) host Fulham (5.10) at Old Trafford in the season opener, with all eyes on Erik Ten Hag after a below par season last time out. Fulham have recruited well this summer, with Emile Smith Rowe an exciting addition from Arsenal, while United have seen one of their marquee summer signings, Leny Yoro, join striker Rasmus Hojland, on the sidelines through injury.
Ten Hag has looked to shore up a leaky defence with the additions of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich for nearly £60m, though it remains to be seen if they will be ready for action straight away.

A new season brings new hope for football fans, whether aspirations of winning the title, claiming a spot in the Champions League or another European competition, or perhaps just of staying clear of relegation and getting to enjoy another season in the biggest league in the world.
WPT Global’s online sportsbook is the place to go for all season-long bets too.

Who Will Win The Premier League?

Manchester City (2.10) are once again favourites to lift the Premier League trophy, and having done so for the past 4 years in a row, it’s easy to see why.
With the transfer window still open, and an injury this week in training to young starlet Oscar Bobb, who just seemed to be carving a role for himself in the starting XI, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Pep Guardiola went into the transfer market to strengthen, especially given Julian Alvarez’s recent big money departure. As things stand, City don’t look unbeatable - Phil Foden and Rodri will start the season slowly after their Euro 2024 exploits, Kevin de Bruyne is in the twilight of his career, and even the manager has said he’s nearing the end of his time in Manchester.
City’s closest rivals are Arsenal (2.85), who pushed City all the way last season, and have added to an already premium squad with the signing of Italian international defender Riccardo Calafiori. If the Gunners can add a genuine goalscorer before the transfer window shuts, this could be their year.
Liverpool (8.0) are a team in transition, with Arne Slot undertaking the unenviable task of replacing Jurgen Klopp, and the fact that Chelsea (18.0) - who have signed another huge number of players, and changed manager yet again - are next in the betting, followed by Manchester United (23.0), Newcastle (26.0) and Spurs (31.0), really spells out that this is a two-horse race between City and Arsenal.
Unsurprisingly, the straight forecast market -choosing the top 2 finishers in the correct order - has City/Arsenal (3.50) and Arsenal/City (5.0) at the top of the market. Choosing to oppose one of those teams - or back one of the other challengers to usurp them at least - brings some tastier prices, with Arsenal/Liverpool (13.0) or a Manchester City/Manchester United (36.0) poke an even bigger price.
The usual suspects dominate the top 4 market, with City (1.06), Arsenal (1.20) and Liverpool (1.50) the favourites. Even if that goes to form, there’s still one more spot up for grabs though, and with a transitional Chelsea (2.30) next, there could be some value further down. Aston Villa (4.0) and Newcastle (2.80) have both cracked the top 4 in the past two seasons, and fans of the likes of Brighton (13.0) and West Ham (17.0) will hope they can follow suit this term.

Who Will Be The Top Scoring Team?

If the actual title race is looking a bit predictable, naming the top scoring team isn’t quite as straightforward, and could provide some value at the WPT Global Sportsbook.
City may be favourites to win the league, and also have in Erling Haaland the favourite to be individual top scorer (1.66), but they’re only 6th in the betting for top scoring team at 10.0.

Title rivals Arsenal (5.0) are favourites, but with them lacking an out and out number 9 in their squad, maybe backing free scoring Newcastle (5.50), Liverpool (6.50) or Manchester United (7.50) might be a better idea.

Of the outsiders, Chelsea (31.0) catch the eye. They may have over 50 players to choose from according to their official website, and a new manager in Enzo Maresca, but if everything clicks, they have the firepower to get the job done.

Will Haaland Win A Third Successive Golden Boot?
It is hard to look further than Eling Haaland for the Premier League’s top scorer, but at 1.66, is there value elsewhere?
Mo Salah (11.0) is second favourite, but it’s yet to be seen how ‘Slot Ball’ impacts the Egyptian King’s chances, with preseason showing the Liverpool man seemingly spending a lot more time wide on the left, rather than coming inside as he has done so well down the years.
Newcastle’s Alexander Isak (17.0) could be a lively outsider, nailed as the first choice striker in a Newcastle side that looks full of goals.

Who Will Be Relegated From The EPL?
As usual, the three promoted clubs - Leicester (1.40), Ipswich (1.70) and Southampton (2.40) - are the three favourites for the drop.
Everton and Nottingham Forest (both 3.0) are only just ahead of the new boys, and that’s little surprise given both had disappointing seasons last time around, and more interestingly, both suffered points deductions for not adhering to the Premier League’s strict Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
With both not out of the woods to incur further deductions this season, this is a market that should be negotiated carefully.
Indeed Leiester are as short as 1.40 because they come back to the Premier League not only as new boys, but under the threat of a points deduction for breaking rules last time they were in the big time.
