Redemption Week NFL Picks

Dear Reader,

I’m sorry I let you down with my failed parlay last week. Although the Green Bay Packers defeated their division rival Chicago Bears, they did not cover the 5 point spread as I predicted.

Even with the Los Angles Rams taking care of business in New England and the Chargers routing the Cincinnati Bengals at home, it only takes one unsuccessful pick to ruin a parlay.

What is my penance for failing you with my 3 parlay picks last week? Betraying my beloved hometown team as I give you three fresh picks for this week.

Before we fully abandon these parlays, put your faith in me as we take a redemptive shot at glory during Week 12 of the NFL season.

Enjoy this list of picks composed entirely of divisional matchups!

Parlay Pick #1: Pittsburgh Steelers Vs Cleveland Browns

My first Thursday Night Football prediction of the year!

The Pittsburgh Steelers (1.50) and the Cleveland Browns (2.66) are bitter rivals who find themselves on opposite ends of the spectrum halfway through the regular season.

Seemingly hitting their stride at the ideal time, the Steelers are riding a five-game win streak while at the same time giving my former quarterback Russell Wilson the career renaissance he deserves.

First place in the AFC North by two games, the Steelers are riding high while the Browns dwell the lowest they possibly can in last place. Even before quarterback Deshaun Watson fell to a season ending injury to his right Achilles, the writing was on the wall for the Browns as they remain one of the most pitiful franchises in professional sports.

Firing on all cylinders against a team ranked nearly last in points scored per game, look for Russell “Mr. Unlimited” Wilson and the Steelers to handedly cover the 3.5 point spread on the road in Cleveland.

Parlay Pick #2: Minnesota Vikings Vs Chicago Bears

I truly believe wide receiver Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings (1.52) will do this week what the Packers couldn’t do last week: cover the spread against the Bears (2.61).

After surprising the league and appearing to be a competent football team with a 4-2 start, the Bears have been in an utter freefall ever since blowing it to the Washington Commanders by way of miracle Hail Mary.

In the midst of a four-game losing streak, the Bears are neither physically nor mentally ready to compete with a red hot Vikings squad.

The game may be in Chicago, but that won’t keep rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and the Bears from being littered with boos if they fail to keep the game competitive.

Ranking top-ten in the league in both points for and against, bet on the Vikings to handedly cover the 3.5 point spread facing Dah Bears.

Parlay Pick #3: Arizona Cardinals Vs Seattle Seahawks

Like most Seattle Seahawks (1.94) fans, I was ecstatic to see quarterback Geno Smith march down the field late in the 4th quarter against the San Francisco 49ers, running the ball into the end zone to pull off the late come from behind win.

My fellow Washingtonians have been rejoicing this week, and while I am of course also stoked following the win, it does not change how bearish I am about the Seahawks’ upcoming contest with divisional foe the Arizona Cardinals (1.92).

One electrifying win does not change the prospects of a 5-5 team, hosting an incredibly talented opposing quarterback in Kyler Murray. Murray and the Cardinals are the current favorites to win the NFC West, compiling a four-game win streak the past few weeks.

My confidence in the Arizona Cardinals continues to grow, even when they happen to be facing my favorite football team.

The odds have the Cardinals as slight favorites favored by one point against the Seahawks. Despite bookies thinking this game will be close, I have the Cardinals winning this game handedly, and you should too.
