WPT® Global Fair-Play Update 2025: Inside the Tech Protecting Every Game

We’ve been working on this update for a long time, and the goal is simple: make the games as fair as they feel. Most players don’t see what happens behind the scenes, so this video pulls back the curtain.

Our system now flags every player’s skill level the moment they sit down. No table gets overloaded with pros. Two is the cap. If those seats are taken, the next pro waits or gets moved. This keeps the games healthy and gives recreational players the same experience they’ve always wanted: a real shot to play, learn, and enjoy the game.

Security has followed the same route.

We built tools that spot collusion, outside assistance, or any kind of unfair edge while the hands are still being played. When something looks off, we notice. If you see something yourself, the reporting tool is right there. When a case is confirmed, the Integrity and Poker program rewards the player who flagged it. 

As always, fair play should benefit the people who help protect it.
