2 More From Spring Festival Earn Trips to Las Vegas
The 2023 WPT Global Spring Festival is in the books. Over the course of 15 days, the Festival’s events attracted 15,769 entries across 81 tournaments and paid out nearly $1,300,000 in prize money.
As a Festival culmination, two freerolls ran on Sunday, June 11. The Champion of Champions event - reserved solely for all winners from the festival event winners who are WPT Global members - awarded a $12,500 WPT World Championship Passport to “YouCouldHero.”
The Second Chance freeroll - for all WPT Global participants who made a final table final - awarded a $2,500 WPT Prime Championship Passport to the winner Boštjan Habič, a.k.a. “Bosti1.”
YouCouldHero and Bosti1 join two others from the Spring Festival also headed to Las Vegas this December for WPT World Championships series tournaments at Wynn Las Vegas.
The schedule was headlined by the $1,060 WPT Prime Spring Festival, with a prize pool of $218,000 and a tournament cash to the top 33 finishers. Claiming victory was “泡芙渡劫” who earned the first-place prize of $37,822 and a seat to the 2023 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas - as well as the historic distinction of winning the first-ever WPT Prime event held online.
Another WPT title winner was Gerard Carbo Santamaria, a.k.a. “yifors”. Santamaria, hailing from Andorra, took down the Spring Festival WPT500 event for $23,476. He also topped the $2,500 Hi-Roller 6-Max for an additional $43,100, placing him as one of three players that recorded two wins during the festival.
