Beat The Odds In This Week’s EPL Games
Leaders Liverpool (1.67) face their toughest test of the season so far when fourth-placed Chelsea (4.35) visit Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds have conceded only two goals in winning six of their first seven games this season to top the table, but Chelsea head north in excellent goalscoring form, just one goal behind EPL top-scorers Manchester City.
Both Arne Slot and Enzo Maresca have made impressive starts to their new jobs, having both taken over their clubs in the summer.
This has traditionally been a very close match-up, with Liverpool’s 4-1 win in January ending a run of five straight Premier League draws between the teams. Those fancying a draw this weekend might be tempted by the 4.00 on offer at the WPT® Global Sportsbook.
The Premier League reconvenes after the international break at Saturday lunchtime with an exciting looking London derby between Spurs (1.48) and West Ham (5.30).
Ange Postecoglou was a frustrated man before the enforced break, seeing his Tottenham team concede three second half goals to turn a 2-0 lead at Brighton into a 3-2 defeat.
West Ham, on the other hand, enjoyed their best performance of the season last time out, thrashing Ipswich 4-1 and hope to carry on that form at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where they enjoyed a 2-1 victory in December.
Amazingly despite this being their eighth game of the EPL season and fourth away from home, The Hammers are still yet to play outside the capital, having faced London derbies at Crystal Palace, Fulham and Brentford ahead of the short trip to Tottenham this weekend.
Underfire Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag is desperate for three points on Saturday afternoon when his team host Brentford at Old Trafford.
United are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, having won only two games - against Fulham and Southampton - all season.
That form makes the 1.69 for them to take three points against the Bees (4.30) look a little short, though United have won all three Premier League games between the two teams at Old Trafford. Indeed you have to look back to 1937 to find the last time a Brentford team tasted victory at The Theatre of Dreams.
Thomas Frank’s team go into this game two points and three places above United, and value-hunters may be tempted to back an away win that surely would see Ten Hag’s tenure as United boss finally come to an end.
