Jeff Kimber

Jeff has a wealth of experience in both poker and journalism, having worked as a sports writer and editor for the Press Association, Sunday Times and TV Times among many others, with over 25 years of playing poker, 15 of them professionally. Jeff watches his beloved Newcastle United as often as possible, and while he plays a lot less poker these days, he still loves a trip to Las Vegas to rub shoulders with the best players in the world every summer, living the dream while trying to win that life changing score at the poker tables.

Five Facts:

1. Jeff was the 2007 World Heads Up poker champion, winning €125,000.

2. He has made three WSOP final tables, all in PLO. missing out on a bracelet in 2009 when he lost heads-up to poker legend JC Tran.

3. Jeff taught three star Michelin chef Marco Pierre White to play poker. In return, Marco taught Jeff to play Spoof, a game he was world champion in.

4. As a youngster, Jeff worked as a sports journalist for the Press Association, Sunday Times and ESPN before playing poker professionally for 15 years.

5. On his way to a 9th place finish in the 2006 WPT® Shooting Stars event in San Jose, Jeff took the $5k bounties of both Kenna James and Dan Harrington. Though his favourite memory of that deep run is sitting beside and chatting to the legendary Chip Reese for long periods on day 3.
