WPT® Prime's Mediterranean centrepiece has almost arrived.
The $1,100 WPT® Prime Cyprus Championship runs October 15–19, 2026 at Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa. It comes with a $1,000,000 guarantee and a livestreamed final table. The headline event of the WPT® Prime Cyprus festival and WPT®'s second stop on the island this season.
There's still time to get in, with a few Day 1 flights left.
Here are the essentials, how to enter, and the context behind the stop.
The Championship carries a $1,100 buy-in and a $1,000,000 guarantee. It plays October 15–19 at Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa, near Kyrenia on the Cyprus coast.
It runs multiple Day 1 starting flights across the opening days. These flights give you more than one chance to reach Day 2. After that, the field converges and plays down to a livestreamed final table. Day 1s start around midday local time.
Check the official event page for the exact flight schedule and late-registration cut-offs.
At a $1,100 buy-in for a seven-figure guarantee, with several bullets available, it's the accessible-value stop of WPT®'s Cyprus calendar. It's the lower-cost counterpart to the tour's big-buy-in Championship earlier in the year.
If you want to play, the most direct route is to fire a Day 1 during the festival.
There are multiple flights across October 15–19. And take note, re-entry keeps you in the hunt if an early bullet doesn't land. On-site satellites at Chamada Prestige can also win you a seat for a fraction of the buy-in during the festival window.
A note on online qualifying.
At WPT® Global, we ran an extensive satellite campaign into this event earlier in the season. Feeder paths started as low as $1.10. The $100,000 "Golden Ticket" Live Champion Bonus was attached for qualifiers who went on to win the Main Event. The promotional window was August 10, 2026 through September 28, 2026.
Check whether any online routes remain open before counting on them. The Golden Ticket's full conditions are worth reading if you qualified through it.
This is the follow-up to a big first act.
In August, WPT®'s $3,500 WPT® Cyprus Championship played at the same venue, with Farbod Nazari winning for $368,900. Chamada Prestige has been WPT®'s Cyprus base since 2025, and the tour scheduled two Season 24 stops there.
The Prime Championship also took a detour to get here. It was slated for the spring but got postponed amid travel disruption and rescheduled to October. The stop meant to open the year is now closing out WPT®'s autumn run on the island.
Past Cyprus festivals have drawn strong fields in the past. So, the $1 million guarantee has a solid track record. Turnout is always a guide, not a promise. As always, this edition's number will be whatever walks through the door across the five days.
Beyond the prize money, the champion takes home the WPT® Prime Trophy and a haul of WPT® Player of the Year points. And the business end is for an audience. The final table is livestreamed, so wherever you are, you can follow the closing stages on October 19 as Cyprus crowns its WPT® Prime champion.
It also lands in the thick of WPT®'s autumn. It comes while the tour builds toward its season-ending WPT® World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December. A deep run here carries real momentum into the biggest stretch of the calendar.
