• Short stacks: You should focus on your survival by folding most hands unless you’re forced all-in.
  
  

• Medium stacks: You can attack tight players, but you should avoid clashes with chip leaders.
  
  

• Big stacks: You have maximum leverage at this point; you can raise often and pressure smaller stacks into folding.

Bubble in Different Formats

The bubble exists in every tournament format, but its timing and impact do vary:
