Completion occurs when you add chips to turn a smaller, forced bet into a full bet.

The most familiar example happens in the small blind. If you have already posted a partial blind and no one raises, you can complete by adding enough chips to match the big blind.

For example, in a $1/$2 game:

• You post $1 in the small blind
  
  

• No one raises
  
  

• You add $1 more to reach $2
  
  

That action is called a completion.

The same concept appears in stud poker, where a player posts a bring-in (a small forced bet) and another player completes it to the full betting amount.

The key idea is simple: completion is not a standard raise, it is bringing an incomplete bet up to its full value.
