Odds Are You’ll Like This Week’s Football and EPL Games

This is a huge weekend in the English Premier League (EPL), and the WPT® Global Sportsbook has prices on all the big games.

There is no bigger game than at the Etihad on Sunday, where Manchester City face Arsenal in a clash of the top two finishers in each of the past two seasons.

It is not going over the top to say that even this early in the season, the destination of the Premier League trophy could be decided by Sunday’s result.

A lot has been made of Arsenal’s defensive display in this fixture last season, where they rarely looked troubled in a goalless draw. In fact, City failed to score against the Gunners in either fixture last term, though they still went on to win a fourth consecutive EPL title.

While Arsenal were defensively superb, and have started this season in similar fashion - conceding only one goal in their first four games - City bagged 19 goals at home to Arsenal in the previous six home games between these two, and Pep Guiardiola will be confident of getting back to that kind of form, especially with Erling Haaland having scored nine goals in the first four Premier League games this season.

More Matches

While Sunday's City vs Arsenal clash is undoubtedly the match of the weekend, there’s a couple of juicy derby games on Saturday that also whet the appetite for football fans.

The first game of matchday 5 sees Chelsea (2.08) make the short journey east across the capital to face West Ham (3.05) in the early kick off.

There were plenty of goals in games between these two teams last season, with Chelsea gaining revenge for their 3-1 defeat at London Stadium with a 5-0 Stamford Bridge victory in May.

The Hammers have lost both of their home games so far this season, while Chelsea have won both of theirs away. If that form continues, the Blues may be a touch of value at odds against.

On Saturday afternoon there’s another big derby game, as Aston Villa welcome Wolves to Villa Park.

Despite performing fairly well, Wolves are yet to taste victory this season, and travel to their Midlands rivals in desperate need of the three points.

Villa need to refocus on the Premier League after an excellent debut in the Champions League in midweek, winning 3-0 in Switzerland against Young Boys.

The 1982 European Cup winners have won three of their opening four EPL games this season and are short priced favourites to pick up another victory against their local rivals.

Other Premier League games this weekend:

  • Fulham vs Newcastle
  • Leicester vs Everton
  • Liverpool vs Bournemouth
  • Southampton vs Ipswich
  • Spurs vs Brentford
  • Crystal Palace vs Manchester United
  • Brighton vs Nottingham Forest
