January 2026 on WPT® Global: Live Trips, Golden Tickets, Satellites
We’re well and truly in the swings of things for this year, and January 2026 on WPT® Global is looking like a live trip month.
Three promo tracks all point toward real tables and real trophies:
- The Festival Bratislava with a €100,000 Golden Ticket boost
- WPT® Global Winter Classic at Playground in Montreal with a $120,000 CAD Golden Ticket and bubble protection
- WPT® Cambodia with $4,000 packages, a $100,000 Golden Ticket, and two big freerolls
As always, the promo roundup for the month is an overview, not a Terms & Conditions document. Use it as a map, then check each promo page on WPT® Global for more details.
January at a glance
If you play on WPT® Global in January 2026, you can:
- Qualify for The Festival Bratislava from small satellite buy-ins
- Win seats and Golden Tickets for the WPT® Global Winter Classic in Montreal
- Chase $4,000 WPT® Cambodia packages and grind missions for WPT® Cambodia freerolls
Most paths start in micro or low-stakes satellites and climb through clear trees into weekly finals. Almost all the value lands on live Main Events, with Golden Ticket bonuses on top if you win.
Where should you look first if you are new to these promos?
Pick the stop that fits your region and travel plans, then match the tree to your bankroll.
The Festival Bratislava: €100,000 Golden Ticket route
| Live stop | The Festival Bratislava |
| Dates | 23 February – 1 March 2026 |
| Headline event | €550 Main Event |
On WPT® Global you can reach Bratislava through two main satellite types:
- $33 “seat-only” satellites that award €550 Main Event seats
- $66 “package” satellites that award full live packages
Both run on alternate Tuesdays at 19:05 UTC, with daily feeders at smaller stakes feeding into them.
Each full €1,600 live package includes:
- 6 nights at Crowne Plaza Bratislava
- €550 Main Event seat
- Festival cap and hospitality package
A simple example path would be playing a low-stakes daily feeder into a $33 satellite, then winning a $33 seat into the next $66 package satellite, then proceeding to take down the $66 final and lock your €1,600 package.
Bratislava Golden Ticket
Every WPT® Global qualifier who reaches the Main Event through these satellites receives a €100,000 Golden Ticket.
If you qualify on WPT® Global, play The Festival Bratislava €550 Main Event or win the Main Event with no prize-pool deal, then WPT® Global pays a €100,000 bonus on top of your normal first prize.
Full details sit on The Festival Bratislava promo page.
Short version:
- Bonus is paid by WPT® Global, outside the live prize pool
- It has no standalone cash value
- It cannot be moved to another player or event
WPT® Global Winter Classic at Playground: seats, OnLive, and $120,000 CAD bonus
| Live festival | WPT® Global Winter Classic |
| Venue | Playground, Montreal |
| Dates | 18 January – 1 February 2026 |
Two events drive the WPT® Global paths, which are the $1,150 CAD Main Event with $600,000 CAD GTD and the $350 CAD Mystery Bounty with $250,000 CAD GTD.
Satellite trees from $5
You can climb through two main trees.
| Main Event tree | $5 → $55 → $220 → $1,150 CAD Main Event seat |
| Mystery Bounty tree | $5 → $55 → $350 CAD Mystery Bounty seat |
Most $55 and $220 steps run on Sundays, with daily feeders into them. Exact times move around, so always confirm in the WPT® Global lobby that week.
Seats won in these trees can be used either to play an OnLive Day 1 on WPT® Global or take a seat in a live Day 1 at Playground.
A typical low-stakes run might be to start in a $5 satellite during the week, the win a $55 ticket, then a $220 seat on Sunday, finally converting that into a $1,150 Main Event seat the same night.
$120,000 CAD Golden Ticket for the Main Event
If you win a $220 Main Event satellite outright, you receive:
- A $1,150 CAD Main Event seat
- A $120,000 CAD Golden Ticket tied to that Main Event
Win the live Main Event at Playground after qualifying this way and WPT® Global adds $120,000 CAD to your payout. Check the Winter Classic promo page and lobby for full conditions and KYC dates.
Key points:
- Only outright winners of the $220 Main Event satellites get this Golden Ticket
- The Main Event must finish with no prize-pool deal
- If you re-enter the Main Event, the Golden Ticket follows you to later bullets
- Total paid from this promo caps at $120,000 CAD per player
- Bonus is paid by WPT® Global into your account, with currency handling set in the promo terms
- You must clear full KYC before live Day 1s in Montreal begin
Mystery Bounty and Bubble Protection
The $350 CAD Mystery Bounty runs with a mixed OnLive and live structure:
| OnLive Day 1 on WPT® Global |
| Live Day 1s and live Day 2 at Playground |
The Main Event also includes Bubble Protection:
- Buy in online to the Main Event through your WPT® Global account
- Wear a WPT® Global patch and check in with staff at Playground
- If you finish as the stone bubble on a live Day 1, WPT® Global refunds your $1,150 CAD to your online account
Each live Day 1 plays into the money, so one player per Day 1 flight can gain this protection. Full rules and patch details live on the Winter Classic promo page.
WPT® Cambodia: $4,000 packages, $100,000 Golden Ticket, and freerolls
| Live festival | WPT® Cambodia |
| Venue | NagaWorld, Phnom Penh |
| Festival dates | 17 January – 9 February 2026 |
| Championship | $3,500 WPT® Cambodia Championship, 4–9 February |
$4,000 packages from $0.55
You can step into a $4,000 WPT® Cambodia package via weekly $110 finals. The trees start as low as $0.55.
Each $4,000 package includes:
- $3,500 Championship entry
- $500 travel stipend paid into your WPT® Global account
- A $100,000 Golden Ticket tied to the Championship
- WPT® Global merch, hotel benefits, VIP Lounge access, and a Players Party invite
The main trees look like $0.55 → $5.50 → $110 final, and $1.10 → $11 → $110 final.
Sunday $110 finals then award at least one $4,000 package plus extra $110 tickets.
Packages are must-play. Unused live re-entry tickets from the package convert back into online MTT tickets after the festival window. No cash alternative exists for any part of the package.
For example, a realistic micro path would look something like starting with a few $0.55 satellites in early January, then turning one into a $5.50 and then a $110 ticket, and winning a Sunday $110 final to lock in the package.
$100,000 WPT® Cambodia Championship Golden Ticket
If you:
- Reach the $3,500 Championship with an entry earned via WPT® Global
- Play the Championship at NagaWorld
- Win the title with no deal
…you receive a $100,000 Golden Ticket bonus on top of the normal first prize.
Core points:
- Bonus is paid by WPT® Global, separate from the live prize pool
- It has no independent cash value and cannot be moved to other players or events
- It stays linked to you even if you re-enter the Championship
- Maximum paid from this promo is $100,000 per player
Full rules live on the WPT® Cambodia promo page and in the client.
Extra value for volume: $11+ Golden Satellite Rewards
If you grind WPT® Cambodia qualifiers with $11+ buy-ins, you pick up extra rewards based on total entries:
| 10+ entries | WPT® Global patch |
| 20+ entries | $11 Golden Satellite ticket |
| 30+ entries | WPT® Global T-shirt |
| 50+ entries | WPT® Global cap |
These rewards stack, so high-volume grinders can unlock all four. Tickets must be used before expiry. Merch ships after the festival window.
WPT® Cambodia freerolls in January
On top of satellites, WPT® Global runs two WPT® Cambodia freerolls in January, on the 17th and the 24th.
During 1–23 January you complete simple missions across ten days to earn freeroll tickets. Typical tasks include hands played in real-money games or small wagering targets in mini-games.
Top prizes in each freeroll include:
- $1,500 WPT® Prime entry
- VIP Lounge access
- Players Party invite
- WPT® Global merch
- Hotel discount offer
Places 2–21 in each freeroll receive a $25 Weekly Golden Bounty ticket. Tickets are non-transferable and must be used within the stated event window.
Passport Dollar holders can also spend PP$ on events in the $3.5M GTD WPT® Cambodia schedule, including the Championship, subject to Passport rules.
Passport Dollars, eligibility, and KYC rules
Golden Ticket basics
Golden Tickets across these promos share some core rules:
- They are paid by WPT® Global as a bonus, outside the live event prize pool
- They only apply if you qualify through the stated WPT® Global route for that event
- They only apply if you win the linked live event with no prize-pool deal
- They have no independent cash value and cannot be sold, traded, or moved
- They stay attached to you across re-entries in that specific event
- Each promo has a fixed maximum payout (€100,000, $120,000 CAD, or $100,000)
Each Golden Ticket promo may add extra conditions. Always read the specific Golden Ticket rules on the relevant promo page before you grind satellites.
Passport Dollars (PP$)
Passport Dollars give extra flexibility across these trips. In January 2026:
- You can spend PP$ on The Festival Bratislava packages and seats as set out in the Passport rules
- You can spend PP$ on WPT® Global Winter Classic entries by following the process in the client and on the Festival Passport page
- You can spend PP$ on WPT® Cambodia events across the $3.5M GTD schedule, including the Championship
The exact PP$ process and any deadlines are explained on the PP$ section inside the WPT® Global client and the Festival Passport page on WPT® channels. If you plan to rely on PP$, read those pages once so you know how to convert in time.
Eligibility, KYC, and other small print you should not ignore
Across all three promos, several rules repeat:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must not play from restricted countries listed by WPT® Global
- Only one account is allowed per person, household, and device
- Personal details must be accurate and must pass KYC checks
- Tickets, packages, and Golden Tickets are non-transferable unless a specific promo allows a transfer
- Packages are must-play; no cash alternative exists
- Golden Tickets expire if unused and have no standalone cash-out value
KYC timing matters. If you do not clear full KYC by the stated date for a stop, you can lose rights to packages, seats and Golden Ticket bonuses. If you plan real volume or a serious shot at any of these live trips, read those pages once before you start.
Full schedules, mission conditions, and legal wording sit in the Specific Terms for each promo and the overall WPT® Global General Terms & Conditions.
How to pick the right promo for your bankroll
Which route makes the most sense if you play micro-stakes online?
The WPT® Cambodia tree from $0.55 and $1.10 is the most natural fit as it lets you take several shots for the cost of a small weekly session
If you are a low to mid-stakes MTT regular, the Winter Classic $5 → $55 → $220 → $1,150 ladder is a clean structure, alongside the Bratislava $33 and $66 satellites are good if Europe is your region.
However, if you are a high-volume satellite grinder, the WPT® Cambodia’s $11+ Golden Satellite rewards and Sunday $110 finals add extra edge. Additionally, the Winter Classic’s $220 Golden Ticket satellites give you a clear top-end target. If you already travel for live events, Bratislava suits European trips, Montreal suits North and South America and Phnom Penh suits Asia-Pacific runs and longer travel plans
Pick the stop that fits your life and location.
Then start at the lowest satellite step that fits your bankroll and time, and always anchor your plans to the official promo and terms pages.
